A few weeks before their 25th anniversary trip to Europe, Jean had the opportunity to travel to New York. For the past 15 years, Jean had been dreaming of someday visiting the world famous Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art. For the 4 days she was in the Big Apple, most of her time was spent exploring the galleries within these two museums.
At the MET, she had the chance to attend and observe one of the many gallery art classes offered for children. These kids follow their teacher into the different galleries, look at the works of master artists and then being surrounded by these masterpieces, make their own art. During the Sunday morning art programs at the MOMA for children, Jean was privilege to follow the children and their teachers into different parts of the museum to look art and to do art. Jean got lots of great ideas for her program and purchased lots of fabulous art books from their distinquished gallery shops.
